Experiencing and understanding nature

Inside the modern Information Centre, a permanent exhibition sheds light on a variety of nature-related subjects, such as biological diversity and the history and development of the Prora DBU Natural Heritage Site and the island of Rügen, and offers insights into the prevailing ecosystems: forests, open habitats and wetlands. The exhibition also spotlights the topic of Rügen’s fascinating and eventful geological history. Visitors of all ages are invited to experience and explore this array of topics at 17 different exhibit stations. Interactive applications, hands-on experiments and multimedia elements provide exciting entertainment while offering new insights.
Especially children are welcome here. The exhibition’s child-friendly audiostations, texts and interactive touchpads convey new and interesting messages in a manner that is easy and fun for children to understand. More interesting facts and background information on the exhibition and the Prora DBU Natural Heritage Site can be found in the Natural Heritage App.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, a temporary exhibition which is renewed every six months invites visitors to explore even more subjects.
